Desk Mount Dual Monitor Arms Ergotron 45-489-026 and 45-489-216 Video
Wow, great guide! Thank you for covering the different series!
great video...just what I needed!
I have this mount. Truly amazing. I use it in a home gym - whether you're standing, sitting on a bike, sitting in a rower, or stretching on the floor, the height adjustability gives you tremendous flexibility to optimize the viewing position.
Can you recess the mount to that the rear of the TV is flush to the wall?
Crazy that you guys got H John Benjamin to do the voiceover.

Is there a way to get only the headrest from the site?
Hello! Thank you for reaching out :) To better assist you, can you please tell me the chair model that you need a headrest on? If you can send us a picture, that would be great. Thanks!
@@ErgoDirectSanCarlos looks like I have the same model as here, it has the same mounting area too
@@HesSuperEffective great! The one on the video is OM Truly Office Chair. However, we don't have a product page yet for the headset alone but you may contact us at customerservice@ergodirect.com and our taem will be glad to provide you with the headset details. Thank you!
YS88 model I got from ergo direct is garbage,-faulty back locking mechanism. proceed with caution - I'm in the process of getting it replaced.
Hello Lane, we at ErgoDirect are extremely sorry for the experience you’ve had with your YS88 chair. Thank you for posting this review and bringing the situation to our attention through your communication with our customer service. We are happy that our customer service team was able to troubleshoot the backrest adjustment issue and provided the adjustment instructions quickly. We are glad you told us that your chair works fine after backrest adjustment and you are satisfied now. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any questions. Best regards ErgoDirect customer service team
Update to this comment. I was able to connect with ErgoDirect and following some specialized set of instructions from the manufacturer was able to get the chair to work.. thanks to Ergo for following through and helping to make the situation right. Inwould suggest ErgoDirect do a video on how to make those special adjustments for those chairs.
@@Brazerker We checked with the manufacturer. At this time they only have written instructions for adjusting the chair backrest. However, that is a great idea. We'll try to create a video or animation to show the same. Thank you for the suggestion.
How do you manage your power cable on your desk?
Helpful
Your web site says "call for price". What is this 1992? Come on man. Nothing makes me close the window faster.
Really amazing.
What kind of physical therapy ergonomics guy makes no references to Lumbar support features on ergo chars under review? No talk about headrest either.. downvote
What’s a headrest for if you can’t use it..
I had a desk delivered last week, put it together today, but it won’t move up or down. We managed to eventually get it up to full height, tried all the adjustments, but now it’s completely stuck......any advice please?
What is the model for Truly,?
I think it's Product ID : OM-TY6X8
Can this rotate a tv from landscape to portrait?
Why not accomodating keyboard & mouse, too? Thanks
Looks great
The counterbalance is obvious, as there are screws. But many people have a different problem where the sliders get misaligned and they having trouble getting the Ergotron WorkFit-S Sit-Stand Workstation to go up all of the way (only 2-5 inches above the back neck, when it should be travel about 6-7 inches above the back neck). If you notice your unit isn't going up quite all of the way, try clearing your work space, placing your hands underneath and at the back center of the work space, and then "lift with all of your might". That should realign the sliders so that your work space travels the full distance up and down.
This was really helpful, Ergotron should mentioned this tip in the manual!!

Unsafe and a CODE VIOLATION: Mounting a power strip to furniture, a wall, or any object. Read up on codes with OSHA and the National Fire Protection Association (both USA). << [edit: NFPA]
Hey, thanks for getting in touch. Would you be able to provide a link so we can make sure our power strip is safe?
Here is a helpful OSHA Training page to read, especially the paragraph under the 2 photos. www.oshatraining.com/Violations-OSHA-Electrical-Standards-Power-Strips.php In any case, I would be concerned for three key reasons: 1) If a power strip arcs and starts on fire, you cannot quickly move it away from flammable material. 2) If water is spilled, the surface tension can cause the water to trickle under a table and reach the live power strip. I wouldn't want to touch an electrified puddle of water! 3) Power strip failures do not always trip a breaker in building's electrical panel or in the power strip.
At 0:17 your video's mounting instructions include: use a "15 feet long power cable" but that is against what the OSHA Training website I linked states. It states: (power strips are) "...not intended to be series connected (daisy chained) to other relocatable power taps or to extension cords." Online sources reveal this causes overheating and potential fires.
Hello again. Just wanted to clarify that our power strip has a 15 foot cord by itself. It is not attached or plugged into another cord, so not daisy chained.
1) Could you expand on your first point? During an electrical fire, it's recommended that you unplug the electrical device from the wall, or use an appropriate fire extinguisher if that is not possible. Our power strip plugs in to the wall up to 15 feet away from the power strip so a fire originating from the strip itself could be put out by unplugging it from the wall. We do not recommend touching a device that is on fire. For 2) and 3) Water is much more likely to drip onto the floor. However, we agree that any power strip that comes into contact with water could be dangerous. We agree power failures are a risk of most electrical devices. However, if there is an electrical fire manually disconnecting the device from the wall is recommended.
Can you adjust the height while in retracted mode?
In retracted mode, the arm will go up 8.3" but it will not go down (its usual 4.7" in a non-retracted position). This is because the arm will hit the pole it's mounted on if you try to pull it down.
I was looking to getting something like this. I moved into a student house, and I live in the attic. I need a T.V. wall mount that can adjust vertically as well as horizontally and can tilt a bit. Where can I pick one of these up?
do you make custom solutions? here is my situation: there is a tough TV pole (~58 mm diameter) with a monitor attached on top of it. i want 2 or 3 arms to be held on the pole below the monitor: - one for a keyboard (+mouse) - one for a laptop - one to hold a tablet each arm should be extendable up to 100 mm. maximal freedom for horizontal rotation as long as height adjustment is appreciated. what would be your suggestion? being able to stick arms to my custom pole (and have them being able to rotate) is what worries me most. thanks a lot.
Creepy Music!
This fricking thing costs as much as a good monitor
What is the name of the model at 0:18? I can't seem to find that exact one. It looks a lot like "Neo-Flex Extend LCD Desk Mount Arm", except one of the arm parts can move up and down as well.
is it possible to place this arm in a night table in order to use the laptop while im laying in bed???
I am looking to create a nice setup in my basement Ergonomic chair (laying down position) and thinking about using this arm + keyboard/mouse arm in the setup, nut sure if there are maybe a different models i should look into, not as expensive?
these look awesome for graphics tablets, i think they could have had a better pitch ^^
Erdotron is the best monitor arms on earth. <3 the MX model, I own 3
